Gladiatus Duel History Tool

I have cooked up a simple tool to keep track of all your duels in Gladiatus. It can be used, I suppose, for purposes benign or less so, but regardless here you have it.

  • save your complete duel history without having to keep and wade through hundreds of nondescript duel messages
  • search and sort
  • easily keep track of your successes and failures, progress, and -god forbid- enemies

Yes I give it to you free of charge and downloading it is free, rapidshare just tries to make it seem not free. Just scroll down to find the 'free' download options.

Includes wholly undocumented personal project source code, .jar file and .exe file, take your pick as to which way to run it.

If there are any glaring problems I may fix them or try to help you with them. Any improvement suggestions or comments can be posted here. I give no guarantee of fixes or further development on this project. Not getting paid and all that.

Well, I wanted to edit my post and it said I can't more than 60 minutes after posting, and attempting to reply said I can't have 2 posts right after the other and that I should edit my post instead. So here you have a second me.

Anyway, needed to post an updated download link, already eliminated (the hopefully last surviving) parser bug related to the . in gold amounts...

KNOWN BUG that I completely forgot about until just now:

When sorting the result table (by clicking on column headers) and then clicking on a duel, the duel information displayed on the right hand side doesn't necessarily match the selected duel.

Annoying yes, world-shattering no. Regardless will be fixed later...

A new version (1.1) of the history tool will soon be available at www.gladiatustools.com. At the time of writing they are still providing v0.55, but they only received the new file today.

Changes from v0.55 to v1.1 include

  • Improved the parser to no longer require you to specify your browser. If some obscure browser has a very convoluted way of storing tables on the clipboard, parsing still may not work with such a browser.
  • Improved the parser to use .plf language files, for compatibility with localized Gladiatus games.
  • Added: Ability to delete duels
  • Added: XP gain is now saved
  • Added: Some convenience features (double clicking to paste&parse, searching with partial name)
  • Added: Time adjustment option
  • Added: Some tooltips
  • Fixed: Parser bug with . in 'damage dealt' values
  • Fixed: A bug that would, after a certain search with 0 results was performed, cause further searches to no longer work.
  • Removed: User ID storing, and user info link availability. Useless stuff that wouldn't have worked right with localized games anyway.
  • Minor changes to some things that were so minor I've already forgotten them


v0.55 already fixed the known bug mentioned a couple posts up.

I would appreciate it if a moderator could remove the obsolete download links in the posts above (and potentially modify the original post to instead mention that the program is available at www.gladiatustools.com).

I am a huge fan of this tool. Is the tool affected by the upcoming game update? There seems to be a new attribute (intelligence), does it mess up the report parsing?

having been the beta tester of this tool, i can say that it wont work
because there are a lot of new fields in a V0.4 battle report.

inteligence
blocking
....

guild of each player

etc

I'm guessing that when he has spare time, he will update it.

as it is, i too am dependent on this tool, and it will become useless after the update.

It does work, it just takes a little more effort... You just have to remove the lines that weren't there before (intelligence, block %, etc.) as well as remove the guilds from the report. Once you do that, you're fine. It takes like 15 seconds per report, if even that much.

GDHT v1.2 has been delivered to the Gladiatus Tools folks and will probably be available soon. Changes...

v1.2 Aug 9, 2008
  • Updated the parser to work with the new layout of Gladiatus v0.4.0. All old .plf files are now outdated. GDHT v1.2 does not work with pre-0.4.0 versions of Gladiatus so if your server hasn't been updated yet, don't switch to 1.2.
  • Fixed: A bug from v1.1 where an xp value actually gained by the opponent would be saved as if gained by the user, in case of a lost duel. This no longer happens, and existing database entries are automatically corrected.


Please remember to back up your GTDB.script file before updating from an older version.
